Iron Core CrossFit

An other fun Crossfit event where I was lucky enough to vend.  Having known the owner of Iron Core CrossFit; Jason Walsh as one of my first trainers from Flower City CrossFit I already new that this was gonna be a good time.  And that it was.  I watched a lot of athletes go at it in four person teams; all ages and ethnicities just having fun while getting an amazing work out in all at the same time.
This is what really gets my attention about CrossFit is that people are having fun!  It is such an intense work out that you share with everyone because they are doing the exact same thing as you.  It creates an environment that you can share experiences with others and help grow the community.   And when I say community I mean in and out side the gym.

177 Tapas

This restaurant is more than just a bite a drink and a dance.  If your looking for an experience then this is what you have to come see to believe.
The feeling is more like you are on vacation in the inner city of some festive Spanish town.  The staff greets you like you are a celebrity and the dim set atmosphere with the ambiance of a romantic scene definitely more than sets the mood.   Right before  you meet that beautiful person who makes the night go by like a dream.
Lucky me I go there often and I do feel as if the the staff has to be the funnest group of people I have ever met.  I always feel like there is something special going on in there.
I have been fortunate enough to have had art shows there and I truly believe this place has helped set my career in the path I have been waiting for.

Quads N Gladiators

Quads and Gladiators is an idea given to me by Jeff Rice the Owner of Flower City CrossFit.  I have been going there for over four years now.  I just started attending these tournaments per the request of Laura Rice to vend at their in house competition.  I was blown away by the amount of people interested in wearing some GodsNGladiators gear.  By the time they hosted the WNY Masters Team Throwdown I was more than excited to attend as a vendor.  The Gladiators are making their way in to the CrossFit community.  It seems a great fit and I have a lot of fun vending while watching these amazing athletes take it to the next level in the arena.
Per the suggestion of my box owner Jeff Rice at Flower City CrossFit I have designed the "Quades N Gladiators"

Wodchster Games

Vending at the Wodchester Games

at CrossFit Rochester

What a blast, a ton of amazing athletes.  The atmosphere was fun and intense.  These work outs are challenging and a lot of people came out.

One of the best things for me was seeing my friends rocking my gear as a team.  This is what I live for!  So glad I could be a vendor and have skilled athletes decked out in my apparel.  Such a feeling.

Vending at CrossFit Webster

Tournaments like the WNY Masters Team Throwdown where I sold a ton of the Gladiator Helmet Tee's thanks to Laura Rice of CrossFit Webster, I can say it is a great example of how the CrossFit community have shown that there are no boundaries in fitness.  The fact that there is such a wide age demography shows you how the community breaks social stigmas and gets everyone under one roof.  There is a big sense of community and I really enjoy it.

The WNY Masters Team Throwdown is the first of it's kind competition in Western New York.   This 4-person (2 men, 2 women) event will consist of 3 WODs spaced throughout the day.  All teams and all team members will participate in  all 3 WODs - no elimination rounds!
The event is open to masters athletes and "almost masters" athletes - the only catch is that your team's total age on the day of the competition must be equal to or greater that 160 years.  So for example, if your team consisted of athletes aged 40, 43, 45, and 33, the total team age would be 161 years old which would qualify.  Again, the total team age has to be at least 160 years old.

The Wolf Pin

I have been working with my friend Raven on a design she happened to like on my Instagram page. She is a big fan of selling and collecting pins so she had some made with my art work.

We also decided to make a small batch of thirteen T-Shirts to match with the pins.  If you want one of the Pins or T-Shirts you have to contact her on Facebook.

She is the only only one selling them as she takes them to concerts and shows selling them to other collectors and such.  Feel free to contact her.

You can see and purchase her work at Aarons Alley and her Instagram page as well as Fb.

Collaboration Work - "Florina and Rochster have loads of explosions"

"Florina and Rochster have loads of explosions"

Don't lose site of what's important! Take that frustration, anger and pain and turn it in to something positive and don't look back! Strive for prosperity against all odds.

Acrylic on Canvas

A collaboration of Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.

Nikolas Thiveos, a young artist (my nephew) form the Country of Greece had a vision of art that we set forward with the help of Anastasia Manou, Marianthi Thiveou and Colleen Truax Yarger.

This was a special treat for me as I was able to focus time on two things that I love; my family and Art.  We all contributed.  It was exciting being that we had at any time 5-20 people running around the house as we had all gathered in Florina, Greece for the first time ever with so many people.  And of course the gathering was in honor of my first cousin; Flora (still a baby to me) getting maried.

The house was always in motion as we set  forth to put acrylic to this blank canvas in the main dining room table.  God forbid we would have to clear everything up for lunch, which consisted of more food than a village could handle.  But after days of constantly adding more and more to the art piece it was clear we were achieving our goal.

In this process I really had time to get to know my family that lives on the other side of the world, some who I have met on this trip.  Much fun! An experience I will never forget.

Client Work - PGD Sports

I was asked to design a symbolic logo.  That's something I love to do!  So I created the below image for PGDSports.
